🚧👷Update! We've received a number of questions regarding the active windmill construction project.
1️⃣ We will be releasing our full 2025 calendar in November. We will remain 💯% OPEN during construction. Portions of trails may close as needed to accommodate active work.
2️⃣ Hunting Access remains available. All gates will be CLOSED and access is walk in only. Construction will be ongoing.
3️⃣ This will be a several season project. While there will be some short-term inconvenience, it will open up access and more trail opportunity. It will provide a stable funding stream for both Rock Run and Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority for trail maintenance.
4️⃣ See you on the trails, we are open this weekend and also October 25, 26 and 27th at which time we close the chapter on 2024!

I'm cool with windmills just so they are not anywhere close to the camping areas. Mountain ridge is horrible to camp with those windmills right next to you
Thanks for the update. Would be good if a trail is closed for work that a sign be posted at the trail head. Instead of some guy on a side by side throwing his hands up when your in the middle of said trail.
I hope so because the state of the park now is just sad. So many trees gone and just a mess. And the Golden Arches trail..😭
