What We're About
First and foremost we're about having fun! Rock Run Recreation area, its employees, and volunteers are excited that you and your families travel from all over the United States and choose to spend your weekends and holidays with us. Set in the rural parts of northern Cambria and southern Clearfield Counties, our trails provide spectacular views from atop the Allegheny Mountains. We consider ourselves a first class recreation park, and hope you feel the same after you visit us.
Rock Run started out with 50 miles of trails for ATVs, UTVs, and dirtbikes. With the help of the Yamaha Trails Initiative Program, we were able to add an additional 20 miles of trails. Rock Run now provides over 70 miles of trails that you can enjoy on whatever type of machine you like.
We have also worked with multiple volunteer groups from the OHV community and developed a trail system that provides enjoyment and challenges for the everyday driver to the most extreme OHV's.
Environmental Awareness
If you abuse it, you'll probably lose it! Careless operation of ATV's, UTV's and Motorcycles can cause damage and may result
in closing of areas to riders. Respect the environment and other trail users. By using common sense and common courtesy,
what is avaiable today will be here to enjoy tomorrow.
TRAVEL RESPONSIBLY
Travel responsibly on designated roads, trails or areas.
*
Travel only in areas open to all-terrain vehicle (ATV) use.
*
Slow down when sight lines are poor. Cross streams only at designated fording points, where the trail crosses the stream.
*
Leave gates as you find them. Comply with all signs and respect barriers.
*
When winching, always inspect your equipment, use the right winch for the situation, find a good secure anchor.
*
Do not mix riding with alcohol or drugs.
DO YOUR PART
Do your part by modeling appropriate behavior, leaving the area better than you found it, properly disposing of waste and restoring degraded areas.
*
Carry a trash bag on your vehicle and pick up litter left by others.
*
Observe proper sanitary waste disposal or pack your waste out.
*
Build a trail community. Get to know other types of recreationists that share your favorite trail.
